오래전 유럽을 여행할 때 밀라노에서 밤기차를 갈아타고 프랑스 남부 모나코로 향하던 중 새벽 무렵 산레모(San Remo)역을 지나면서 어쩐지 이름이 낯익다며 한참을 고민했는데 모나코에 닿기 전 결국 산레모 가요제를 떠올리면서 답을 찾았던 기억이 난다. 지난 달 2009년 산레모 가요제가 열렸다. 이탈리아를 대표하는 가요제답게 개막 한 달을 앞두고 TV에선 버전을 바꿔가며 광고가 쏟아져 나왔고 즐겨보는 요리프로그램 라 프로바 델 꾸오꼬의 방송시간을 줄여가면서 두 차례에 걸쳐 기자회견을 생중계하는 등 이탈리아의 모든 매체들이 가요제 소식을 숨가쁘게 전했다. 좀 호들갑스럽다는 생각이 들 정도로..
아무튼 요즘 라디오는 물론 거리에선 산레모 가요제에서 불려진 노래들이 쉴새없이 흘러나오고 있는데 어느새 우리 귀에도 익숙해져 흥얼거릴 정도가 됐고 최근 작업중인 영상에도 적절하게 쓰일 곡이 필요해 앨범을 구입했다. 수록된 앨범 가운데 요즘 가장 인기를 끌고 있는 두 곡을 첨부한다.
ARISA의 Sincerita('정직'이란 뜻인데 곡은 슬픈 내용이라고..)와 POVIA의 Luca era gay(루까는 게이였다)라는 두 곡. 그야말로 요즘 이탈리아 전역을 달구고 있는 따끈따끈한 곡들이다.
